Three of our seniors (young men): Lewis Harvie, Darren MacIsaac and Euan McCallum visited the Palace of Holyroodhouse to receive their Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards from HRH Prince Philip on Thursday 3rd July. Our other Gold Award holder, Richard Gentleman was on holiday and will attend next summer.
Of the 10 boys from BB Scotland being awarded their Gold, 3 were from our Company. After a brief chat with Prince Philip in the beautiful summer sunshine the group made up of BB Scotland and members of other youth organisations were presented with their Gold Award certificates by Steve Montgomery (Managing Director of Scotrail).
All in all a brilliant fun filled day out which ended with a few light refreshments in the stunning “Dome” restaurant in Edinburgh city centre.
