S3 to S6 Boys

Young people in this age group are encouraged to lead their own programme, supported by volunteer leaders. It’s all about the young people deciding what they would like to do and organising it for themselves. This age group has its own programme based on six areas: Get Active, Get Into the Bible, Get Creative, Get Learning, Get Adventurous and Get Involved.

We take great pride in the diverse range of activities we offer our members as they progress through our ranks. A regular Friday night starts with a classroom activity from one of the programme areas (e.g. a challenge or quiz) before we enjoy a wide variety of sports including badminton, basketball, football, hockey and volleyball in our two games halls. We also go swimming on the last Friday of every month.

The Seniors also begin their own leadership journey by helping in either the Anchors or the Juniors age group where they learn new skills while providing brilliant role models for our younger members.

We enjoy regular weekends away including an annual spring weekend away at Scott Lodge in the stunning Glen Doll with the Company. We also visited London in January 2026. The Seniors also get the opportunity to experience a foreign adventure every few years. We enjoyed an amazing trip to Chamonix Mont Blanc in August 2025 and planning is underway for our next visit in 2027.

We enter teams in local and national Competitions in everything from badminton and football to FIFA and quizzes. We are also members of the Scotland Supporters Club giving us access to tickets for all Scotland matches at Hampden.

The Seniors meet every Friday night at Falkirk High School between 7.45pm and 9.45pm.

Membership of the Seniors costs £15 per month.

Our uniform is a blue BB polo shirt which is worn by all age groups and helps create a sense of belonging within the 3rd Falkirk family.

Throughout their time in the Seniors members can gain awards and recognition for their participation in the programme.

  • Bronze Award & President’s Badge – S3
  • Silver Award – S4
  • Gold Award & King’s Badge – S5
  • Platinum Award – S6

The King’s Badge is the top award in the Boys’ Brigade and takes 2 years to complete. To achieve this prestigious award young people must complete 2 residential leadership courses, volunteer inside and outside of the BB, complete a physical activity, learn a new skill and complete a faith development journey. It is a great addition to a young person’s CV and we are proud to have a great track record in producing ‘King’s Men’.
