The new session at 3rd Falkirk Boys’ Brigade is officially underway, and the weekly Friday night meetings at Falkirk High School are already buzzing with excitement, teamwork and brand-new activities across all age groups.
Here is a look at what our members have been up to since returning for the start of the session:
Anchors (P1 – P3)
The youngest members hit the ground running with games like Banana Tig, Dodgeball and parachute favorites like Cat and Mouse. Alongside high-energy fun like real-life Hungry Hippos, the Anchors also squeezed in time for creative crafts and essential life skills, including learning about dental hygiene and healthy habits.
Juniors (P4 – P6)
We started the term with Highland Games competition. Problem-solving and engineering took centre stage for the Juniors! The newly promoted P4 boys put their creativity to the test building structural masterpieces in a Spaghetti Tower Challenge. Meanwhile, the P5 and P6 boys headed outdoors for a high-octane scavenger hunt across the school grounds.
Company & Seniors (P7 – S2)
The older age groups tackled teamwork and communication head-on during their “Listen to Me” theme night, participating in challenges like Say Less, Build More alongside quick-fire sports. The Seniors also held check-ins regarding their King’s Badge progress while continuing their ongoing fundraising efforts for their landmark trip to Chamonix Mont Blanc.
Highlights & New Additions
- New Equipment Debut: Thanks to a generous grant from the Community Schools 2008 Charity, 3rd Falkirk introduced a brand-new indoor curling set that made its official debut at Juniors and Company quickly becoming an instant favourite!
- Full Facilities in Use: Members are making full use of the fantastic setup at Falkirk High School, including sports in the main halls and swimming pool access.
