Since our foundation in 2013, 3rd Falkirk Boys’ Brigade has been dedicated to equipping boys and young men with the skills, confidence and resilience they need to succeed in life. This page celebrates the outstanding dedication of our older boys who have gone above and beyond to complete some of the most challenging and prestigious youth awards in the country.
Earning these badges requires years of commitment, practical leadership and community service. We are incredibly proud of every young man listed here – their achievements set a powerful example for our younger members and represent the ultimate goal of our youth organisation.

King’s Badge
(previously Queen’s Badge)
The King’s Badge is the highest award that may be gained by a member of The Boys’ Brigade.
Awarded in S5 it’s a real opportunity; it aims to challenge and equip the individual, provide new opportunities and expand horizons while remaining accessible to young people of all abilities.
A young person wishing to work towards their King’s Badge must first have completed their President’s Badge. The King’s Badge offers the chance to engage with the local community, take on responsibility, set personal goals, build self confidence and experience a sense of achievement.

Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Award
The DofE Award is a universally recognised mark of achievement, highly sought after by universities and employers alike.
To achieve the Gold Award, young men must independently complete a demanding, long-term programme across five sections: volunteering in their local community, improving physical fitness, developing practical skills, undertaking a shared residential activity, and planning and executing a gruelling 4 day expedition. It is the ultimate test of self-reliance, teamwork, and perseverance.
We have recently re-established our DofE Gold offering and are aiming for our first completions in 2027/28.
